Tool Presetter model: alfa-set 33/35
The cost- effective introductory model for decentralised tool presetting!
alfa-set 33/35 is the first and only presetting device of its type and price category with a pneumatic, selective axis clamp. For this reason it can be used with one hand and has large handwheels for fine adjustment on each measuring axis. The measurement probe (tms) or electronic projector (swift) can be aligned to the measuring point within an accuracy of µm. Extremely stable, pretensioned linear guides allow a very high level of measurement reliability and repeatability. The tool adapters are mounted on ball bearings and there is an integral rotation clamp, which guarantees a runout precision of ≤0.002mm. It is weight-balanced to ensure fatigue-free working.

alfa-set 33/35 is available with two different measuring systems:
tms with carbide probe and zero- indicator
tms (tactile measuring system)
Measures by scanning the blade with a TIN-plated hard metal measuring probe and safety gauge as a zero indicator, guarantees accurate measurements at a constant measurement pressure <1N.
swift
Measures with a camera and 5.7" TFT colour touchscreen. Non operator-dependent tool measuring. Extremely easy to use, no training required, measurement data is shown on screen. Angles and radii can also be measured.

alfa-set is a new generation of tool presetting devices that stand out from the competition because of their high level of measuring accuracy, lasting precision, user-friendly design and ergonomic styling and operation.
The high level of measuring reliability of all alfa-set equipment is because of the new arrangement of the linear guides on the measuring column. The measuring point (tool blade) is located between two linear guides on the X axis (like a coordinate measuring machine). The measuring column is mounted on three pretensioned recirculating ball units with four rows. This ergonomically perfect solution allows even heavy tools to be inserted into the tool adapter easily. The selective, pneumatic axle clamping means that the measuring carriage can easily be moved to the measuring position. What is unique about it is that the operating grip is not mounted on the measuring system. The positioning forces do not influence the measuring system, they act directly on the vertical carriage. The newly-developed tool adapter in the form of a tapered bearing bush guarantees a high level of runout precision. All adapters, adjustment pins and reductions are manufactured from vacuum-tempered stainless steel.

Tool Presetter: alfa-set twincam
twincam is the range of products for tool manufacturers and sharpeners. The basic design of alfa-set twincam is the same as the alfa-set 23/25 and alfa-set 44/46 presetting devices. However twincam is also fitted with a second frontal illumination camera that swivels through 90°. As well as all the measuring processes and programmes, vision 4 + 5 can also be used to measure spiral angles, spacings, chamfer width etc. The tool adapter is fitted with a Heidenhain rotary encoder, vacuum tool clamping, pneumatic rotation clamping and 4x90° indexing.
